International truck software may fail to brake with adaptive cruise

International is recalling certain 2026-2027 MV vehicles because the ECU software may fail to engage the brakes when adaptive cruise control or hill hold assist is in use.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm where injury has not yet been reported: the fault affects driver-assistance features that brake automatically, while the service brakes themselves remain available to the driver.
