2023–2027 International MV and HV vehicles battery cable fire risk
International Motors is recalling certain 2021, 2023–2027 MV and 2026–2027 HV vehicles. The battery interconnect cable may contact adjacent components, creating a short circuit that increases fire risk.

International Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2021, 2023–2027 MV, and 2026–2027 HV vehicles due to a battery interconnect cable defect. The cable may contact the auxiliary stud and hold down bracket, causing an electrical short circuit.
A short circuit in the battery interconnect cable increases the risk of a fire. This defect affects the vehicle's electrical system.
Approximately 15,628 vehicles are potentially affected. Dealers will install plastic saddles onto the positive interconnect cable and, as necessary, install wind laces and a J-bolt between each battery, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 14, 2026. Vehicles previously repaired under NHTSA Recall 25V534 will need the new remedy completed.
