Ford Super Duty rearview image may not show with hitch assist

Ford is recalling certain 2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350 and F-450 vehicles previously repaired under 23V-573, because the default rearview camera image may not display when using Pro Trailer Hitch Assist.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm where injury has not yet been reported: a rear visibility aid may show the wrong view in one mode, and the vehicle retains control and propulsion.

Plain-English summary

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2023 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350 and F-450 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-573. About 355 units are potentially affected.
