Water intrusion into the TPASIM can cause the rearview camera to display intermittently, or to show only a blue or black screen instead of the camera feed. When the rearview camera image does not display properly, drivers lose visibility of the area behind the truck, increasing the risk of accident or injury.

Ford began mailing owner notification letters on August 6, 2025. Affected owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153). The remedy is available now and is free to owners. Dealers will replace the tailgate top camera, wire harness, TPASIM module, and update the Image Processing Module A software.
