2023 GMC Acadia: Right-front half-shaft separation from transmission risk

General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2023 GMC Acadia vehicles. The right-front half-shaft assemblies may be improperly connected to the transmission, which could cause them to separate.

When the half-shaft separates from the transmission, it can result in a loss of drive power or, when the vehicle is in park, a vehicle rollaway. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Approximately 10 units of the 2023 GMC Acadia are affected by this recall.

Owners should contact GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782 to arrange service. Dealers will replace the right-front half-shaft assemblies at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 17, 2023.
