GM Recalls 2024-2025 Silverado and Sierra 2500 Tires
General Motors is recalling 2024-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and GMC Sierra 2500 trucks because incorrect tire pressure labels may cause underinflation and prevent low-pressure warnings.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported, as the source states driving with underinflated tires can increase the risk of a crash but does not report specific incidents.
Plain-English summary
General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and GMC Sierra 2500 vehicles. The recall applies to trucks equipped with the enhanced towing option and the 20-inch accessory tire/wheel package. The tire information label on these vehicles may state the incorrect rear tire pressure.
This defect can result in underinflated tires and prevent the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) from displaying a low tire pressure warning. Driving with underinflated tires can increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect the vehicles, update the engine control module (ECM) software, apply a tire label overlay, inflate tires to the correct pressure, and perform a TPMS re-learn process as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on September 28, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N262561970.
