Nova Bus LFS Transit Buses Recalled for Driveshaft Separation

A sudden loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, if a bus loses drive power in traffic, passengers may need to be evacuated in an uncontrolled traffic situation, increasing the risk of injury.
According to NHTSA, approximately 414 vehicles are affected. Phase 1 includes 2019-2023 LFS vehicles; owners were notified on October 27, 2024. Phase 2 includes 2019-2020 LFS Artic vehicles; owners were sent interim safety notifications on October 27, 2023, with a second notice expected in January 2025. Dealers will inspect the transmission yoke bolts and, if necessary, tighten loose bolts at no charge.
