Chrysler Voyager and Pacifica side curtain airbags recall
Chrysler is recalling certain 2022–2026 Voyager and Pacifica vehicles because the right and left side curtain airbags may have insufficient pressure retention due to improperly sealed seams, increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a structural vehicle safety defect involving airbag failure that increases the risk of harm (ejection and injury) during a crash. While no injuries are reported in the source text, the hazard is real and significant, warranting a High severity rating per the rubric.
Plain-English summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022–2026 Pacifica and Voyager vehicles. The right and left side curtain airbags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation."
Airbags with insufficient pressure retention increase the risk of ejection and injury during a crash.
