The loss of rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, which establishes rear visibility standards.
Approximately 391 Lincoln Aviator vehicles from the 2025 model year are affected by this recall. Ford will provide a free software update to the APIM through an over-the-air (OTA) update or at an authorized Ford dealership. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 28, 2025.
