This defect results in an incorrectly displayed rearview image, which can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash. The affected vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111 regarding rear visibility.
Owners should contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. A remedy is currently under development, and owners were sent interim notification letters on April 6, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once a final remedy is available, which is anticipated in the second quarter of 2026.
