Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2025 INFINITI QX80 vehicles equipped with an Around View Monitor (AVM). A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze and display a blank screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse.
The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse reduces the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, which requires rear visibility.
Approximately 5,176 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 2, 2024. Dealers will reprogram the AVM software free of charge.
