Plain-English summary
Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2025 INFINITI QX60 vehicles due to a defect in the front brake caliper assemblies. The brake calipers may have reduced strength and could break during use.
If a front brake caliper breaks, the vehicle could lose partial or complete front brake function. This significantly increases the risk of a crash and causes the vehicle to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 135 (Light Vehicle Brake Systems). Approximately 1,430 units of the 2025 model year are affected. Owner notification letters were mailed in May 2025.
Dealers will inspect and replace the front brake caliper assemblies at no cost to owners. Owners may contact INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200 or Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261. The recall campaign number is 25V173000. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit nhtsa.gov.
