The Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) software may shut down the hybrid system and the engine under certain conditions. This malfunction causes a loss of drive power, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will reprogram the HPCM software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 31, 2022.
