What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Plain-English summary
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling approximately 6,076 certain 2021-2022 Audi vehicles. The infotainment main unit may become damaged internally when the vehicle is shut off, resulting in an inoperative rearview camera display when the vehicle is next started.
An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 111, which establishes rear visibility requirements.
Affected owners should contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 to schedule service. Dealers will replace the infotainment main unit free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 6, 2022. For additional information, owners may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236 or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
