Audi vehicles recalled for faulty rearview camera display software

When placed in reverse gear, the rearview camera display may show a blank or black screen instead of displaying the live camera image. This failure violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 111, which requires rear visibility. A non-functional rearview display reduces the driver's ability to see behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owner notification was mailed October 25, 2022. Dealers will update the infotainment unit software at no cost.
