The defect involves the three retaining bolts for the output flange on the ISE propulsion system, which are subject to fatigue failure. If these bolts fail, a portion of the driveshaft, with the output flange attached, could separate from the vehicle. This separation creates the potential for bodily injury to bystanders and/or property damage.
