New Flyer Industries Ltd is recalling certain model year 2009 GE40LFR transit buses. The recall involves remote release belts supplied by American Seating that are the subject of Defect Report 09E-065.
These belts may not properly lock up. As a result, they may not properly restrain the mobility device when the bus decelerates. This could cause the mobility device to roll forward until the full length of the webbing is extended, creating a potential for tip-over that could result in injury or death.
