International Vehicles Brake Pressure Switch Electrical Short Fire Risk
International Motors is recalling certain 2017-2025 International and IC Bus vehicles. The brake pressure switch assembly may leak hydraulic fluid into electrical components, causing a short circuit that increases fire risk.

International Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2017-2025 International MV, 2018-2024 International 1300 FBC, 2018-2025 IC Bus TC, and 2024-2025 IC Bus CECB vehicles, along with certain 2018 International 4000 Series 4300 vehicles. The brake pressure switch assembly may develop a leak that allows brake fluid to enter the electrical components, causing an electrical short-circuit.
An electrical short in the brake pressure switch can overheat the affected circuit and increase the risk of fire while the vehicle is driving or parked.
Approximately 4,764 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owners will receive notification by mail, with repairs available through authorized dealers. Dealers will install a replacement silicone black jumper harness at no cost. Until the repair is complete, owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825 for questions. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 23V397 will also need to have the new remedy installed.
