Chrysler Pacifica built with wrong radio may not show rearview image

Chrysler is recalling certain 2024-2025 Pacifica vehicles that were built with an incorrect radio, which can prevent the rearview camera image displaying. All affected vehicles have been repaired.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm where injury has not yet been reported: a rear visibility aid may not display, but the vehicle retains control and propulsion and no incidents are recorded.

Plain-English summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles. About 21 units are potentially affected.

The vehicles were built with an incorrect radio, which can cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility".

NHTSA states that a rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers replaced the radio free of charge, and all affected vehicles have been repaired. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 7, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403, or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
