2024-2025 Chrysler Pacifica rearview camera display failure recall

Chrysler recalled 2024-2025 Pacifica vehicles for faulty radios preventing rearview camera display, which reduced rear visibility and increased crash risk. Dealers replaced the radios free of charge, and all affected vehicles have been repaired.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a defect in a safety-critical system (rear visibility) that creates a risk of harm (increased crash risk). No injuries, crashes, or other harmful incidents have been reported. Per the rubric, recalls involving risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported score 3.

Plain-English summary

Chrysler is recalling certain 2024 and 2025 Chrysler Pacifica vehicles that were built with an incorrect radio. The faulty radio prevents the rearview camera image from displaying on the vehicle's screen, which violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111 regarding rear visibility requirements.

The inability to display the rearview camera image reduces the driver's ability to see what is behind the vehicle. This impaired rear visibility increases the risk of a crash.

Approximately 21 vehicles are affected. Chrysler dealers replaced the incorrect radio with the correct unit free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 7, 2025. All affected vehicles have been repaired. Owners with questions can contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403.
