Chrysler Recalls 2008-2009 Minivans and Journey for Air Bag Defect

The recall affects 110,482 units manufactured between June 18, 2007, and August 31, 2008, for the minivans, and between December 31, 2007, and August 31, 2008, for the Journey.
The defect involves the air bag control units, which may corrode and fail. If the unit fails, the air bags may not deploy in a crash, increasing the risk of occupant injury. Additionally, the air bags may inadvertently deploy, which increases the risk of a crash.
