Chrysler Recalls 2021-2023 Dodge Durango for Rear Spoiler Misalignment

Chrysler is recalling 2021-2023 Dodge Durango vehicles because the rear spoiler may not align properly with the roof, potentially detaching and creating a road hazard.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect (rear spoiler misalignment) that can lead to detachment and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash, which aligns with the 'Severe' criteria for structural defects.

Plain-English summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Dodge Durango vehicles. The recall involves 74,578 units. The issue is that the rear spoiler may not be aligned properly with the roof, which can result in damage to the spoiler during liftgate use.

A damaged rear spoiler may detach and create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash. Vehicles in this recall were previously recalled under campaign numbers 21V842 or 23V115. Vehicles repaired under the prior recalls will need the new repair completed.
