Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac transmission control valve may lock rear wheels

GM is recalling certain 2022 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade and Escalade ESV vehicles with the 10-speed ETRS transmission because the transmission control valve may fail and lock up the rear wheels.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: the source states the rear wheels can lock up while driving, which is a loss of vehicle control.
