Chevrolet Equinox EV tires can lose tread partially or fully
General Motors is recalling certain 2025-2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV and Cadillac Optic vehicles with 21-inch Continental all-season tires because one or more tires may lose part or all of their tread.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: tread separating from a tire in use is a structural failure of the component connecting the vehicle to the road.
