2024-2025 Lincoln Corsair: Rear Lights May Fail Due to Water Leak
Ford is recalling 2024-2025 Lincoln Corsair vehicles because water can leak into the rear combination lights, causing loss of reverse, brake, tail, and turn signal function. This failure increases crash risk by reducing visibility and preventing other drivers from detecting braking, turning, or reversing.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a structural lighting defect that creates risk of vehicle crash by compromising rear visibility and warning signals. However, no injuries or crashes have been reported, making this a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported, warranting a Score 3 (High) classification.
Plain-English summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024 and 2025 Lincoln Corsair vehicles due to a defect in the rear combination light assembly. Water may leak into the left and right rear lights, causing the loss of reverse light, tail light, brake light, or rear turn signal function.
The loss of these critical lighting functions prevents other drivers from being alerted that the vehicle is braking, turning, or reversing. Reduced rear visibility increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, which covers lamps and reflective devices.
Approximately 84 vehicles are potentially affected. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 14, 2025. Dealers will inspect and replace the rear combination light assemblies at no charge. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 for service. Ford's recall number is 25C53.
