Plain-English summary
Coose Trailer Manufacturing, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2006-2013 travel trailers manufactured between January 1, 2006, and April 25, 2013. These vehicles are equipped with a Fastec-brand door lock. The recall affects 17 units.
The defect involves the possibility of removing the key from the lock in a way that jams the deadbolt. If the deadbolt jams, the interior side of the door lock may also jam. This could leave a person inside the travel trailer locked in and unable to exit without using the emergency exit, increasing the risk of injury.
Coose Trailer will notify owners, and Fastec will coordinate the inspection and replacement of the cylinders, as needed, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2013.
