Papablic, of USA, is recalling about 248 Papablic Bedside Sleepers with Play Yard Extensions, model PAPA03001AI. These products function as both a bassinet and a play yard and feature a gray exterior with a stars-and-moon interior pattern. The recall is due to the products violating the mandatory safety standard for play yards. The mattress can become displaced, creating a deadly suffocation hazard if a baby becomes entrapped between the sleeping pad and the bottom. Additionally, the latching and locking mechanism can fail, causing the product to collapse and posing risks of serious injury, deadly entrapment, and falls.
The affected sleepers were sold online at Amazon.com and papablic.com from April 2025 through July 2026 for about $190. The products were manufactured in China. No injuries or deaths have been reported in connection with this recall.
Consumers should stop using the convertible bedside sleeper immediately and contact Papablic for a refund. To receive a full refund, consumers must disassemble the product, cut the mattress and fabric components in half, and email photos of the destroyed components to [email protected]. Upon receipt of proof of destruction, Papablic will issue a full refund, and consumers should dispose of the product.
