What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a high-risk infant sleep product with multiple serious hazards (suffocation, fall, entrapment) that violate federal safety standards. However, no injuries or deaths have been reported. Per the rubric, when a product poses significant risk of harm but no injuries have been reported, the maximum score is 3 (High).
Plain-English summary
TADAKAZU baby loungers are cloth-covered nest-style sleep products with foam pads and padded bumpers, sold exclusively on Amazon between September 2024 and May 2025.
The recalled loungers violate federal safety standards for infant sleep products due to multiple design defects. The sides are shorter than required, the sleeping pad is thicker than allowed (creating suffocation risk), and an enclosed opening at the foot could allow an infant to fall out or become entrapped. Additionally, the loungers lack a stand, creating a fall hazard. Collectively, these violations pose a risk of serious injury or death.
Approximately 7,600 units were sold in various colors and patterns, including Beige, Pink, Blue, Rabbit, Star, and other designs. The loungers were sold for between $12 and $47.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled loungers. To obtain a refund, consumers must remove the sleeping pad, cut up the sides and pad, take a photo of the destroyed lounger, and email it to [email protected]. TADAKAZU and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.
