Due to a production error, some of the white plastic handles may break. A broken handle can cause the carrier and infant to fall, potentially injuring the infant. Gerry has received three reports of handles breaking and infants falling, with one infant suffering a bruised forehead. No other Gerry infant carriers are involved in this recall.

If the codes match the description above, they should call Evenflo's Parent Link Consumer Resource Center at (800) 233-5921 for a free replacement product. Evenflo is responding to this recall on behalf of Gerry, which is out of business. The recalled carriers were sold nationwide after September 7, 1993.
