The recall involves specific model numbers identified on a label located on the mattress platform underneath the mattress. These cribs were sold at department and baby products stores nationwide from January 1991 through December 2002 for approximately $99.
The recall is due to a hazard where the hardware used to assemble the crib may not be tight enough, causing the mattress support platform and mattress to fall to the floor. There have been 41 reports of mattresses falling through these portable wood cribs, resulting in 17 children suffering bumps, bruises, or scratches.
