Plain-English summary
Lithonia Lighting is recalling approximately 11,532 RSX luminaires equipped with AASP, AARP, AAWB, and AAWSC adjustable tilt arm mountings. These products are used for commercial outdoor lighting and were manufactured between August 2019 and July 2020, and between August 2024 and April 2026. The mountings allow the luminaire to be tilted from 0 to 90 degrees above horizontal.
The recall is due to a risk of serious injury from an impact hazard. The knuckle of the adjustable tilt arm mountings can fail, which allows the luminaire to fall from the mounting arm. The company has received 13 reports of the mountings breaking and four reports of the fixtures falling, but no injuries have been reported.
The products were sold nationwide through commercial distributors, including Turtle & Hughes Inc. and Consolidated Electrical Distributors, from August 2019 to August 2026 for between $400 and $2,200. Consumers should keep clear of the area directly beneath the luminaire and contact Lithonia Lighting to schedule a free repair. A qualified professional will replace the recalled mounting with a new complete adjustable arm assembly.
