Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Plain-English summary

Hallee, Inc. is recalling about 1,000 Starlit Nights Mosquito Net Bed Canopies. The recalled canopies are made of 100% white polyester fabric and mosquito netting with glow-in-the-dark stars sewn onto the fabric. They hang from the ceiling or wall above a bed and measure about 400 inches tall, 90 inches wide, and 22 inches in diameter. The word "Hallee" is printed on the label attached to the bottom of the canopies.

The recall was issued because a child can become entangled in the bed canopy, posing entanglement and strangulation hazards. The firm has received one report of a child waking up with the bed canopy netting entangled around the child's neck. No injuries have been reported.

The bed canopies were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com from July 2016 through August 2016 for about $45. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bed canopies and contact Hallee for a full refund or a replacement bed canopy with new warning labels. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.
