The garments are made of 62% polyester, 35% cotton, and 3% spandex, and feature a lace decoration strip around the hood opening. A white drawstring is located inside the hood lining, which surrounds the face.

The recall was issued because the drawstrings pose a strangulation and entanglement hazard to children. Drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground slides, handrails, school bus doors, or other moving objects. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.

The hoodies were sold at children's boutiques and other specialty retail stores nationwide from July 2013 through December 2013 for about $20. Consumers should immediately take the recalled hoodie away from children and remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard, or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
