Vehicle recalls in our database all come from NHTSA. They cover passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, tires, child safety seats, and motor-vehicle equipment. Each campaign is identified by an NHTSA Campaign Number (a string like 25V123000) and lists every make / model / year combination affected. The most common vehicle-recall categories are airbag and seatbelt failures (the consequence is non-deployment in a crash), fuel system defects with fire risk, steering or brake malfunctions, electrical defects in EVs that can cause battery thermal events, software bugs in driver-assist systems, and child-seat harness failures. Recalls for tires almost always relate to a tread-separation risk in a defined production date range.
Every NHTSA recall is mandatory for the manufacturer to remedy at no charge to the owner, with no expiration. If your vehicle has an open recall, your dealer is required to perform the remedy free of charge as long as the vehicle exists. Ford is recalling certain 2023 Explorer vehicles with a loose or missing fastener in the front suspension. This can cause steering pull and brake failure, increasing crash risk.
Kia is recalling certain 2024 Telluride vehicles because engine valve springs may break while driving. This could cause loss of drive power and increased risk of fire.
Lucid is recalling certain 2022-2024 Air vehicles with software versions 2.1.2 through 2.1.26 due to an adaptive cruise control fault that may cause sudden loss of drive power. A free software update was released in October 2023.
Mercedes-Benz is recalling 2019-2022 GLC 300, 2020 GLC 350e, and 2020-2022 AMG GLC 43 vehicles for headlights that may be incorrectly adjusted, creating glare for oncoming traffic. Dealers will correct the adjustment free of charge.
Indian Motorcycle Company is recalling certain 2019-2022 Challenger, FTR 1200, and Pursuit motorcycles due to brake lights that may illuminate unexpectedly without rider input, potentially confusing following drivers and increasing crash risk.

Jayco is recalling certain 2020-2023 Entegra motorhomes because passenger seats may have improperly welded pedestals that can separate and cause the seat to loosen or detach.
