Improper windshield sealing in 2026 BMW X4 and X6 vehicles

These defects increase the risk of a vehicle crash and the risk of fire while the vehicle is parked or driving.

Owners should contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. Dealers will inspect the windshield, reseal it, and replace the vehicle control unit and wiring at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 21, 2025.
