2024 Mack Granite Trucks Recalled for Defective Seatbelt Bracket

An improperly welded bracket can detach during a crash, potentially allowing the seatbelt to fail and increasing the risk of injury to occupants. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, which sets requirements for seatbelt assembly anchorages.

Approximately 15,841 vehicles are affected across the recall, including 2019-2025 Granite and Anthem trucks, 2020-2025 MD trucks, 2024 MD Electric trucks, and 2025 Pinnacle trucks. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 21, 2026. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) of affected vehicles are searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 13, 2025.

Dealers will install a reinforcement plate at no cost to owners. Owners should contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177 for scheduling or to confirm whether their vehicle is affected. Reference Mack recall number SC0485.
