2024-2026 Lucid Air driveshaft bolts may disconnect, risking loss of power
Certain 2024-2026 Lucid Air vehicles with Pure Rear-Wheel Drive may have improperly secured driveshaft bolts that could disconnect from the drive unit, causing loss of drive power and increased crash risk.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a structural driveline defect with significant crash risk due to potential half-shaft disconnection. However, no injuries or deaths have been reported, and the harm remains theoretical, which limits the score to at most 3 per the rubric constraint.
