Park this vehicle outside

This is the agency’s own advisory, not our assessment. Contact the manufacturer or a dealer, and see the official NHTSA notice for the current guidance.
What this means for you

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect (electrical system) that poses a significant risk of fire and crash, meeting the criteria for a Severe rating.
Plain-English summary
Lucid USA, Inc. is recalling certain 2022-2026 Lucid Air vehicles. The recall involves approximately 27,185 units. The exterior lighting circuit may have insufficient overcurrent protection, which allows the circuit to overheat.
An overheated circuit increases the risk of a fire. Additionally, a loss of the center brake light or front lights can decrease visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Owners are advised to park their vehicle outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Lucid has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 16, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243.
