GM heavy duty pickup fuel pump may cause an engine stall
GM is recalling certain 2025-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 and GMC Sierra 3500 vehicles with gasoline engines and dual fuel tanks because the rear fuel pump may not transfer adequate fuel to the front tank.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: the source states the vehicle can stall, which is a loss of propulsion rather than a degraded secondary function.
