Mercedes G-Class radar sensor failure can disable driver assistance systems
Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain 2025 AMG G63 and G 580 vehicles because the front short-range radar sensor circuit board may fail, disabling automatic emergency braking and other assistance features.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm where injury has not yet been reported: the fault is in driver-assistance features rather than the service brakes, which remain available to the driver.
