Mercedes windshield camera and mirror may be insufficiently attached

Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain 2024-2025 GLE, GLS and AMG models because the multi-purpose camera and rearview mirror may be insufficiently attached to the windshield and may detach.

The multi-purpose camera and the rearview mirror may be insufficiently attached to the windshield and may detach.

NHTSA states that a detached mirror can reduce visibility for the driver, and a detached camera can cause a loss of certain driving assistance systems such as Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Brake Assist.

Dealers will replace the windshield and reinstall the multi-purpose camera and rearview mirror, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 27, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372, or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
