Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the vehicle has been remedied. Dealers will inspect and replace the rear axle, as necessary, free of charge. The MBUSA Customer Assistance Center will assist owners to make arrangements with their authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the vehicle towed for inspection. Towing and loaner vehicles or alternate transportation, where available, will be offered at no cost to the customer. Owner notification letters were mailed May 12, 2023.
