The rearview camera software contains an error that may cause the display to show a blank image, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle during backing. In some cases, the camera image may persist on the display after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse, potentially distracting the driver. Both scenarios increase the risk of a backing accident.

Dealers will update the rearview camera software at no charge. Owner notification was mailed September 4, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to schedule the update. Ford's internal recall campaign number is 25S72.
