Plain-English summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles under NHTSA campaign number 25V083000. The potential number of units affected is 133.
The centre stack upper display contains a transistor that may overheat and prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. According to NHTSA, a rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers replaced the display free of charge, and the recall record states all affected vehicles have been repaired. Owner notification letters were mailed February 27, 2025.
Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
