2025 International Trucks Recalled for Defective Tie Rod Assemblies
Navistar is recalling certain 2025 International trucks with defective tie rod assemblies that may break and cause steering failure, increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace affected components.

Navistar, Inc. is recalling certain 2025 International HV, LT, MV, and RH trucks. The tie rod assemblies in these vehicles contain ball studs that may have been incorrectly heat-treated during manufacturing, which can cause them to break.
When a tie rod fails, it can result in loss of vehicle steering control and significantly increases the risk of a crash. Approximately 116 vehicles are affected. No crashes or injuries have been reported to date.
Owners should contact their Navistar dealer or call Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825 to schedule service. Dealers will replace the tie rod ends and realign the front axle at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 29, 2024.
