Rivian R1S R1T and EDV headlights may be improperly aimed
Rivian is recalling certain 2023-2024 EDV, R1S and R1T vehicles because the headlights may be improperly aimed, failing FMVSS 108. 2,334 units are affected.

Rivian Automotive, LLC is recalling certain 2023-2024 EDV, R1S and R1T vehicles under NHTSA campaign number 24V367000. The potential number of units affected is 2,334.
The headlights may be improperly aimed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment." According to NHTSA, improperly aimed headlights can result in insufficient illumination of the road, decreasing the driver's visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
Rivian will inspect and adjust the headlight alignment as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 28, 2024.
