2022-2025 Rivian R1T and R1S recalled for unsecured seat belt anchors

Rivian is recalling certain 2022-2025 R1T and R1S vehicles. D-ring bolts for front seat belt anchorages may not have been properly installed, potentially failing to restrain occupants during a crash.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a structural vehicle defect affecting a critical safety component (seat belt anchorages). The rubric lists 'structural vehicle defect' as a criterion for Severe (Score 4). Although no illnesses or injuries have been reported, the defect involves failure of a primary safety restraint system.

Plain-English summary
