2025 Rivian R1S and R1T autonomous driving software may fail vehicle detection

Rivian has released a free over-the-air (OTA) software update to correct this issue. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 17, 2025. Owners should update their vehicle software to version 2025.18.30 or later. Rivian's internal recall number for this campaign is FSAM-1744.
