Jeep Wagoneer S headlights cannot be aimed properly
Chrysler is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer S electric vehicles because the headlight vertical aim adjustment is not accessible and the horizontal aim is not covered, failing FMVSS 108.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm where injury has not yet been reported: the headlights function but may be misaimed, reducing visibility or dazzling oncoming drivers, and no incidents are recorded.
Plain-English summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer S battery electric vehicles. About 3,919 units are potentially affected.
The headlight vertical aim adjustment is not accessible, and the horizontal aim adjustment is not covered as intended. As a result, the headlights may not be able to be adjusted properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment".
NHTSA states that incorrectly adjusted headlights can reduce driver visibility or create glare for oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will remove the plugs from the vertical aim and install plugs on the horizontal aim as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 3, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service, or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
