Maserati headlights may be missing their adjustment prevention caps
Maserati is recalling certain 2023-2025 Grecale, Granturismo and Grancabrio vehicles because the headlights may be missing adjustment prevention caps, allowing them to be improperly adjusted.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm where injury has not yet been reported: the headlights function but may be misaimed, reducing road illumination, and no incidents are recorded.
Plain-English summary
Maserati North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2024-2025 Grancabrio and Granturismo, and 2023-2025 Grecale vehicles. About 10,008 units are potentially affected.
The headlights may be missing adjustment prevention caps, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment".
NHTSA states that improperly aimed headlights can result in insufficient illumination of the road, reducing the driver's visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.
Maserati will inspect and, if necessary, install one or two caps to cover the horizontal headlight aim adjustment mechanism, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 25, 2025. Owners may contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
