A corroded APS circuit may send corrupted signals, which can cause unintended acceleration, a lack of acceleration, or a loss of drive power. These conditions increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect for corrosion, install a cable splice to prevent water intrusion, and replace the connector terminal and APS as necessary, free of charge.
